The University Centre on MUN’s St. John’s campus was evacuated and closed for a couple of hours this afternoon.
That was due to flooding caused by a sprinkler that was somehow triggered in a cooler.
MUN sent out the alert early this afternoon, advising anyone in the building to evacuate and muster at least 100 metres away.
The University Centre on the St. John's campus is closed until further notice due to a sprinkler head going off in a cooler. Clean up is underway and the building should reopen soon.

Witnesses also reported seeing water flowing down the steps on the south side of the centre.
There’s no word yet on the extent of damage.
The all-clear was given shortly after 2:45 p.m.
The University Centre has reopened; normal operations can resume.
